Welcome to the American Indian Studies Program at The Ohio State University

Welcome

American Indian Studies respects the importance of Native protocol. We acknowledge that we are in the world, in central Ohio on the traditional homeland of the Shawnee Nation under the guidance of Our Grandmother(Kokumthena), in shelter of the Delaware under Kishaylamukong, and with the fire of the Wyandots under Ataentsik.

Osiyo!

Welcome to the new academic year of 2007-2008. Our theme this year explores Being Indigenous: Past and Present. We have an exciting year planned. American Indian Studies (AIS), American Indian Student Services (AISS) and the student organizations American Indian Council (AIC) and American Indian Students in Engineering and Sciences (AISES) collaborated this year to provide quality education, programming and student support.

The American Indian Student Services, under the leadership of Manon Beaudrie, has planned several events this quarter. Please visit the AISS site at http://multiculturalcenter.osu.edu/aiss
