American Indian Studies Program Funding Proposals

The American Indian Studies Program will accept and review programming proposals for presentations, events, exhibits, residencies, performances, workshops, conferences and other activities congruent with our mission of supporting American Indian Studies that promotes awareness and social justice.

Required Components

  • - Partnership with a faculty member
  • - Classroom connection and educational impact
  • - Student participation
  • - Collaborative opportunities with a department, Newark Earthworks Center, MCC, ODI, and/or NAICCO and contact person
  • - Other identifiable funding sources

Full consideration will be given to proposals demonstrating collaborations as stated above and projects that include the American Indian Advisory Committee in the planning, development, implementation, completion and evaluation. The Advisory Committee will review programming proposals and if a committee member is proposing the program, that member will remove himself or herself from this part of the process. The proposal should include the information above as well as:

  • Who
  • What will they do
  • When
  • How much funding is needed

The proposal should be sent digitally to Elissa Washuta at washuta.2@osu.edu no fewer than 60 days before the proposed event. The proposal will then be sent to other committee members for review and voting.
